Bajaj Auto restructures operations, hikes bike prices

Mumbai: Quick on the heels of the announcement of it restructuring earlier in the day, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL), the country's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a change in its organisational structure along with a Rs 500 increase in the prices of its 100cc and 125cc bikes - Platina and Discover.
BAL has been restructured into five broad strategic units - R&D, engineering, two-wheeler business unit, commercial vehicles business unit and international business units. There will be separate CEOs for the two-wheeler, commercial vehicles business and international business units respectively. (See: Bajaj Auto revamps organisational structure)
The three CEOs will be responsible for top line business growth and profitability of their respective businesses, it added.
