Bajaj launches the Rs3-lakh Kawasaki Ninka 250R

Mumbai: Bajaj Auto, today announced the launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, priced at around at around Rs3 lakh.
Widely claimed to be among the best 250cc motorcycle in the world, in India the Ninja 250R will be available exclusively through Bajaj Probiking showrooms, backed with Probiking service facilities and spare parts availability.
Powered by a 249cc parallel twin engine that belts out 33PS of power, it is a supersport motorcycle that draws its lineage from the legendary larger Kawasaki Ninjas."
"But what makes this motorcycle unique is its near-perfect combination of performance, riding comfort and ease of handling," the company said in a press release.
As a result it is as popular among casual riders as it among serious enthusiasts. "Not surprisingly it is the largest selling 250cc motorcycle in the world," the release added.
In India, in a market cluttered with overpowered litre class motorcycles, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R will be the only supersport motorcycle whose performance is practical for Indian conditions, the company claimed.
Commenting on the launch, Eric Vas, president, new projects, Bajaj Auto, said, '' We conceived Bajaj Probiking four years back with the objective of making it the automatic destination for bike enthusiasts looking for looking for 'bigger and sportier' bikes.
