Bharti Group's Beetel enters mobile handset market with eight 2G and 3G models
Sunil Mittal's Bharti Group, which owns India's top telecom service company Bharti Airtel, has entered the mobile handset market with group firm Beetel launching eight low-end models.
These new phones, having dual SIMs, also feature FM radio and camera and are priced between Rs1,750 and Rs7,000.
Beetel has installed several applications to attract the young generation. Some of the models also feature triple SIM (GSM+GSM+CDMA), complete movies on the phone as well as gaming QWERTY keypads.
Beetel phones also offer social networking applications such as Facebook and Nimbuzz.
Beetel has partnered with mobile commerce partner NgPay for mobile payment and also has additional features such as, Yahoo mobile portal and Opera mini.
