Bisleri to back water sports

Mumbai: Mineral water Company Bisleri plans to use water sports as its platform for building brand value.
Bisleri is looking to sponsor India's RS:X class windsurfer, the Indian Army's Major Ashutosh Tripathi on his maiden voyage to New Zealand for the 2008 Olympics qualification rounds.
According to Ramesh Chauhan, chairman and managing director of Bisleri International, the endeavour goes towards "not letting any talent go unnoticed", as well as continuing the company's efforts to promote sports in the way it "promote healthy lifestyles."
Major Tripathi recently bagged seventh place in Bali international windsurfing regatta, being the first qualifier from India for a berth in the first Asian Beach Games to be held in 2008.
According to rsxclass.com, the RS:X can be raced in winds of 3 to 30 knots. The board begins to "plane" in winds of 8 knots of wind and can reach speeds over 30 knots.
