BSNL bags order for ''village public telephone'' scheme

Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has bagged a Rs 425-crore order
from the Universal Services Obligation (USO) Fund to provide
telephone sets under the ''village public telephone'' scheme.
BSNL will supply public telephone to over 66,000 revenue villages covered by 12 service areas in the country. The cost of the equipment will be subsidised by USO.
