BSNL to offer all benefits of voice calls, SMS and combo vouchers pan-India

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced the extension of the benefit of voice/SMS, special tariff voucher (STV) and combo vouchers in national roaming as well on a pan-India basis, in areas where BSNL operates, from 15 August, on the occasion of 71st independence day.
According to BSNL, it was the first operator to provide free national roaming on 15 June 2015.
The offer is beneficial to those who frequently travel, including Jawans and journalists. At present, this benefit is available to any STV in the home state/ licence service area (LSA), but will now be available even when a person travels outside his home LSA, beginning 15 August.
For example, STV 349, currently offers unlimited voice call to any network only in home LSA. This benefit of unlimited voice call on any network will now be available even when customer is travelling out from home LSA in any area where BSNL operates.
''Armed force personnel, professionals, business person and students all will get more benefit from this scheme,'' R K Mittal, director, BSNL board, said.
