BT has launched its new Smart Hub router, which packs technology to provide users a superior wi-fi experience.
Claimed to have the UK's most powerful wi-fi signal among broadband providers, the new Smart Hub allows users to enjoy wi-fi in more places in their home.
The dual-band Smart Hub uses seven antennas to offer the highest wireless range amongst major UK broadband providers.
With the latest AC wi-fi technology, one can use several devices on a fast connection simultaneously.
The technology uses advanced filters to block interference to help users get a more reliable signal with fewer dropouts, while BT Smart Scan technology worked in the background, to choose the channel with the least congestion for the best wi-fi performance.
Pete Oliver, MD consumer, commercial, marketing and digital, BT, said, ''Customers want a quality connection throughout their homes and the new BT Smart Hub delivers the UK's most powerful wi-fi signal, so customers can enjoy wi-fi in more places, according to home.bt.com.
''It's packed with the latest wi-fi technology and is the only router from a major UK broadband provider to offer seven antennas which offer unbeatable wi-fi range.''
The Smart Hub, designed by an award-winning team, is slim enough to be dropped into a letterbox, so users need not stay at home to be able to receive a delivery.
Unlike earlier BT Hubs, which had been getting smaller, the BT Smart Hub is a larger device than its predecessor, standing taller, though, it is still offered the same basic shape, of an upright device, for a small footprint on the surface on which it is placed.
According to BT, the reason for the router being larger was due to top section which now was a dedicated Wi-Fi zone, with seven carefully arrayed antennas to give users the best all-round performance.
