Cargill and Parakh Foods float new venture

Chennai: Cargill India and Parakh Foods have agreed in-principle to enter into a joint venture agreement to combine their vegetable oil business. Both the companies will transfer their existing brands, Cargill India's NatureFresh and Parakh Food's Gemini, to the proposed joint venture company.

While Cargill India's president Hardeep Singh will be the chairman of the proposed company, Prakash H Parakh of Parakh Foods will be the managing director.
