Colgate declares interim dividend of 25%

Mumbai: At the board meeting held last week, Colgate-Palmolive (India) (www.colgate.co.in) declared an interim dividend of 25 per cent - Rs 2.5 per share - for the financial year 2001-02.
The interim dividend will be a total payout of Rs 37.5 crore (inclusive of the dividend distribution tax) by the company and will be paid on or about 4 March 2002 to those shareholders whose names are on the register of members of the company on the record date of 22 February 2002.
For the previous financial year ended 31 March 2001, the company had declared a dividend of Rs 3.50 per share and a one-time special dividend of Rs 4.75 per share in September 2001 - a total of Rs 8.25 per share.
