Cyberattacks target J P Morgan Chase website

The retail banking website of JP Morgan Chase & Co (JPM) was temporarily unavailable, the bank said in a message posted online.
The largest US bank by assets, told customers in a Twitter message Tuesday afternoon that it was experiencing "intermittent issues," on its chase.com website. Another message stated that the bank was working "on getting Chase Online back to full speed."
The bank posted the following message on its website: "Our website is temporarily unavailable. We're working to quickly restore access. Please log on later."
According to a spokeswoman, the bank had conducted maintenance on the site earlier in the day.
The bank said on its Twitter feed that its mobile banking applications were not affected and its branches were available for service.
Many JP Morgan Chase & Co customers were unable to access their internet banking accounts and its online systems, under attack through the day were still not fully operational by evening.
