DSP Merrill Lynch Equity Fund announces 60-per cent dividend

Mumbai: DSP Merrill Lynch Mutual Fund, an open ended growth fund, has declared a dividend of Rs6 per unit on a face value of Rs10 per unit of the DSP Merrill Lynch Equity Fund. This dividend will be tax-free in the hands of the investors. The record date for payment of dividend is December 19, 2005. Earlier during the year the fund had declared a dividend of 40 per cent on June 14th, 2005.

The fund was ranked CRISIL CPR 1^ for the second consecutive quarter ended September 2005. CRISIL CPR 1^ indicates "very good performance" in the category, implying that the scheme ranks within the top 10 per cent of the 47 schemes considered in the category of open-ended diversified equity funds, for the two-year period ending September 2005.

As on November 22, 2005, the NAV of DSPML Equity Fund was Rs.34.07.
