Force Motors to supply Light Strike Vehicles to Indian Army

The Indian Army has placed an order for an undisclosed number of Light Strike Vehicles Abhay firodia-group automotive manufacturer, Force Motors 

The indigenously developed Light Strike Vehicle, designed and developed by the company's research and development team at Pune, has been developed to meet exacting military requirements.
Designed for quick ingress and egress, Force Motors said these vehicles are capable of being used on extreme terrain, maintaining high speed and stability in a 4-wheel drive configuration, and have differential locks on all wheels, similar to the Force Gurkha.
The vehicle is equipped with run flat tyres and can rocket launchers and machine guns can be mounted on them. 
The Force Motors Light Strike Vehicle can be airlifted and dropped into enemy territory, for use as an advance fast strike vehicle.
With the assurance of speed and reliability, the vehicles use proven, rugged and reliable aggregates like engines and transmissions from the Force Motors’ but have also been uprated for the demanding applications of the Armed Forces. 
The Force Motors prototype underwent two years of rigorous field trials in rough terrains from the scorching deserts of Rajasthan at 50°C temperature to the freezing Himalayas, where temperatures plummet to  minus 30°C, the company said in a statement.
In the past, Force Motors had supplied the Indian Artillery with new engines for the 155mm Bofors Guns. currently the Indian Army is conducting user trials for the adoption of Force Motors-developed engines on the indigenous new generation Dhanush Gun, which are expected to succeed the Bofors.
