US automaker Ford Motor Company has revealed that it will soon be naming its new global car, the revamped Fiesta, a subcompact version designed in Europe.
Alan Mulally, chief executive, Ford, said, "With the all-new Fiesta, we want to create a world standard for small car quality, design and comfort in a vehicle that is as exciting to drive as it is to look at. We believe this all-new model will attract a whole new generation of small car buyers."
In the coming years, the company will launch a sedan model of the same car in other markets as well. There are also plans to showcase a production unit of the car at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show.
