Google India yesterday launched Google Partners, a programme aimed at helping web professionals and agencies make businesses succeed online.

The programme forms part of Google's efforts to build an ecosystem to help small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) gain from the internet, according to the company's statement.

Kodukulla Suryanarayana, head of SMB Sales Google India, said, Google was making it easier for agencies to access Google resources, training, and support all in one place.

He added, the last three years has seen a significant ramp up of efforts to have a large footprint of agencies which supported thousands of small businesses in India.

Many small businesses in India relied on web professionals and agencies for managing their online presence as also their online marketing, and Google wanted to help agencies and web professionals receive training and access to resources necessary to help their clients succeed on the web, he added.
