Google seems to have big plans for its Nexus devices in the Indian market and in less than a week of listing its Nexus 5 and second-generation Nexus 7 on its India website, the company has now listed the price of its Nexus 10 tablet on its Play Store.
The 10-inch Nexus tablet, which was launched late last year, has been priced at Rs29,999 for the 16GB variant in India. The model is also available with 32GB storage capacity, though, its cost for the domestic market have not yet been revealed.
Google Nexus 10 which has a display resolution of 2560x1600p and pixel density of 299ppi sports Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It is powered by Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and would get the latest Android 4.4 update in a few weeks. It has a dual-core 1.7GHz dual-core Cortex A15 processor with Mali-T604 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 9,000mAh battery. It comes in two storage variants - 16GB and 32GB - with no expandable storage.
The Nexus 10 tablet, which has been manufactured by Samsung comes with a 5MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera. The device which retails on in black colour has a connectivity suite which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC.
According to commentators the current model is expected to be rendered obsolete by a soon-to-be launched, upgraded version of Nexus 10. The current model of the tablet would take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Apple iPad Air, Nokia Lumia 2520 and Sony Xperia Tablet Z, though it is much cheaper than them.
Meanwhile, after listing the newly launched Nexus 5 smartphone and the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet on the Indian Play Store, Google is now gearing up to introduce the Nexus 10 tablet.
Though the search engine giant has not yet revealed its plans for the release of three Nexus devices, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10, yet, considering the fact that within a few days all the three Nexus devices feature on Play Store India with pricing, commentators say the company would likely unveil the three devices soon.
Earlier this week, the company's second generation Nexus tablet, the Nexus 7 (2013) was seen at Play Store India for Rs25,999 and though Google had listed Nexus 7 (2013) tablet's 3G + Wi-Fi model with a 'coming soon' tag, there had been no details about the possible availability of the tablet.
