Gujarat State Petronet commissions Kalol-Mehsana pipeline project

Mumbai: Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL) has commissioned the 40 km Kalol-Mehsana gas pipeline. The integrated pipeline network will carry compressed natural gas across Gujarat.
GSPL is establishing an integrated pipeline network across Gujarat by assembling and deploying multi-disciplinary teams with proven competencies in commercial marketing, project planning, operations and engineering, and ensuring that environmental, financial and regulatory guidelines are met consistently.
The company, which is laying an overall pipeline size of 1,200 km in Gujarat, envisages 195 km of pipeline in operation this year, transporting more than six million cubic meters of gas per day.
GSPL, a GSPC subsidiary, has taken a lead in developing energy transportation infrastructure in Gujarat, and in connecting major natural gas supply sources and demand markets. GSPL is the first company in India to transport natural gas on open access basis and is a pure natural gas transmission company.
GSPL, a pioneer in developing energy transportation infrastructure, is continuously expanding its pipeline network in Gujarat to reach the demand centres by laying cost-effective and safe gas pipeline network. The company has developed requisite expertise and proven project management competencies to embrace a nation-wide character following GSPC's expanding operations in the country.
Theirs is the only pipeline company in India operating on common carrier principle providing open access. The gas grid project of the company envisages development of systematic and integrated pipeline network across Gujarat.
