ICICI Pru picks up partners for child policies

Kolkata: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company has entered into an arrangement with Discovery Kids and Derek OBriens KQ School Advantage to promote its child insurance policy called ICICI Pru Smart Kid.

ICICI Prudential chief (marketing and services) Saugata Gupta says both are school contact programmes. While Discovery Kids and Derek OBrien will get in touch with the kids, ICICI Prudential Life will talk to the parents. We will try to make parents aware about insurance and how it helps them to ensure that their dreams about their children materialise.

As of 30 June 2002, ICICI Prudential had issued over 1,50,000 policies with a premium income in excess of Rs 165 crore. The total sum assured has crossed Rs 4,100 crore.
