Mumbai: The Hindujas-promoted private sector bank, InduSind Bank, will be opening 60 more branches by March 2002. According to bank MD Bhaskar Ghose, it plans to expand from the present 36 branches to 100 outlets by March 2002.
"We see retail banking as a high-margin, high-growth niche area in a country of over a billion people. The expansion would include 15 extension counters and 25 to 30 offsite automated teller machines," Ghose said.
