Infosys today said it has reached an amicable settlement on a lawsuit filed by a former employee, Satya Dev Tripuraneni, charging the company of harassment at workplace.

Infosys, India's second-largest software services firm after Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), said Tripuraneni withdrew the lawsuit following successful mediation.

''An amicable settlement has been reached without any admission of liability,' Infosys said in a statement.

In a suit filed in the federal court for the northern district of California on 2 August, Tripuraneni, a US-based ex-employee of Infosys, alleged harassment by his supervisor after he accused Infosys of visa fraud.

Tripuraneni had filed a lawsuit in the California court alleging that Infosys had been bringing people to the US on non-work visas. He also alleged that he faced harassment at the company after he blew the whistle on the wrong-doing (See: Infosys slapped with second visa misuse case).

The case was filed a month before the hearing of a similar case alleging visa fraud by the company.
