Chennai: International public relations guru David R Drobis, chairman of Ketchum Inc, the seventh-largest public relations global network with a turnover of $165 million, will be visiting India sometime in April 2003.
Drobis, who has been named among the top 10 most influential people in PR in the 20th century by PR Week magazine, is also the founding chairman and member of the Board of the Council of Public Relations Firms and is currently the president of ICCO (International Communications Consultancy Organisation).
Drobis has spent most of his career at Ketchum, helping it grow from a single office specialised firm into one of the leading PR organisations with a network of 55 offices including 32 affiliates around the world, with 1,400 employees.
Drobis is a believer in the dictum that international PR should merge global and local expertise and adapt it to suit local conditions. In India, the same model is replicated through an exclusive affiliation with MelCole Public Relations.
