iPhone 5c and 5s to be available in India from 1 November

Apple plans to open the sale of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in India from 1 November, in a launch that would be part of the company's next phase of iPhone launches worldwide.
The devices were unveiled at an event at Apple's headquarters on 10 September, with the phones first going on sale from 20 September in nine countries.
The company is yet to announce the price for the phone in India.
The iPhone 5c is expected to be on offer for around Rs50,000 while the iPhone 5s could carry a slightly lower price tag of around Rs40,000.
According to Apple's statement, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c would be available in over a dozen countries on 1 November including India and Mexico.
The release of the iPhones in India will take place just before Diwali, which is on 3 November, in a departure from past, when the company's products hit the Indian markets in the last fortnight of November or the the first fortnight of December.
The iPhone 5s, which according to the California-based firm is the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and the iPhone 5c, the most colourful iPhone yet, would be at retailers across 25 countries, including Italy, Russia and Spain, from 25 October, Apple said.
The iPhone 5s includes a fingerprint identity sensor built into the home button. According to the company the iPhone 5S is the "world's first and only smartphone" with a 64-bit chip.
The iPhone 5c is built on iPhone 5 technology. It runs on A6 processor, the same as iPhone 5. The phone comes with a battery that is slightly larger than that of iPhone 5. The iPhone 5c comes with a 4-inch Retina display.
The device has an 8-megapixel camera at the rear. Its new HD Face Time feature on the front, according to Apple, supports larger pixels.
The smartphone would be available in green, white, blue, pink, and yellow colours.
Over the coming months Apple would focus on iPhones, iPads and iPods, to be marketed in stores-within-stores in India.
The top smartphone seller in India, Samsung had a volume share of 36 per cent as against Apple's 2 per cent in the April-June quarter.
Apple also plans to increase its presence in the smaller towns by opening 100 exclusive ''standalone'' stores.
