Jet Airways signs up for 20 Boeing 737-800''s

In a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that deliveries, subject to regulatory approvals, are scheduled between October 2012 and December 2014.
Though Jet Airways declined to reveal the valuations for the deal, the jets are worth $1.6 billion at list prices.
The fresh addition to the fleet was aimed at maintaining and expanding Jet''s international and domestic operations, the airline said.
If the company exercised its options for the ten additional aircraft, then deliveries would be made in the period August 2013 and February 2015.
Jet will take delivery of the last of the previously ordered ten B737NG aircraft on October 11, 2007.
Jet
operates a fleet of more than 60 aircraft and took over domestic rival, Air Sahara,
last April.
