Jet, Brussels Airlines bring Berlin Tempelhof, Lyon and Barcelona on to combined network

Jet Airways logoJet Airways has announced the expansion of its codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines, allowing Jet's passengers to access Berlin Tempelhof, Lyon and Barcelona airports through a seamless exchange of service with Brussels Airlines.

Effective 30 March 2008, Jet Airways customers traveling between Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to Berlin, Lyon and Barcelona will be able to avail of seamless codeshare travel, excellent connections, through check-in, frequent flyer benefits as well as interline e-ticketing. Tickets for these flights will be available for sale from 10 March 2008.

Brussels Airlines logoCommenting on this, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, chief executive officer, Jet Airways, said, "The expansion of Jet Airways' codeshare agreement with Brussels airlines will further facilitate the rapidly growing ties between India and Europe, especially in the tourism and business sector".

Brussels is the headquarters of the European Union, and its physical location combined with the Brussels airlines' network, makes the carrier's Brussels hub the natural gateway to Europe and Africa.

Brussels further distinguishes itself as one of the most convenient and passenger friendly airports in Europe thanks to its multilingual staff and English signage.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 80 aircraft, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, eight Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 53 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft and nine modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.

With an average fleet age of 4.3 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world.

Jet Airways operates over 370 flights daily to 59 destinations around the world.
