Mahindra Renault launches two new Logan models

Mumbai: Mahindra Renault has launched two new variants of its Logan models, one each in petrol and diesel.
The new models, 1.6 GLX, petrol vehicle would be priced at Rs5.35 lakh and 1.5 dCi DLX diesel model would cost Rs6.11 lakh, Rajesh Jejurikar, managing director of the company, said.
The new variants were being launched in Tamil Nadu first because of huge demand for the vehicle, he said, adding the company would appoint more dealers all over the country soon The new variants have adjustable rear-head restraint, truck-room light, outside mirrors with manual adjustment, front and rear power windows and central locking systems as the additional features, he said.
Meanwhile, Mahindra and Mahindra''s open offer for picking up 20-per cent stake in Swaraj Engines has received lukewarm response from shareholders, who tendered only 0.6 per cent of their holdings.
The open offer was for acquiring 2,483,964 fully paid-up equity shares of Rs10 each, representing 20 per cent of the outstanding voting equity capital of the Swaraj Engines at Rs151 per share.
But
only 7,417 shares were tendered, which amounted to 0.06 per cent stake in Swaraj
Engines, M&M said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
