Nestle declares 180-per cent second interim dividend

Nestle India has declared a second interim dividend of Rs18 for its Rs10-face value equity share for 2005. The total dividend payment during 2005 would aggregate to Rs23 per share, inclusive of the Rs5 interim dividend paid in May 2005. This represents 230 percent of the nominal share value.

Martial Rolland, chairman and managing director, Nestle India, says, "Our company''s policy is to reward its shareholders. This is expressed in our dividend distribution, the one for this year being the highest paid dividend in any one year out of the profits for that year."
