Pril voted most popular FMCG ''debutante brand''

New Delhi: Pril, the dishwash bar from Henkel SPIC India Ltd was voted the 'most popular debutante brand' in the popular awards category of the FMCG AwardTM-2003. Conceptualised by AMGF Intercorp Ltd, the popular awards category also comprised 'most popular brand' and 'most popular brand ambassador' awards. All awards in this category were determined by consumer votes.

Pril is the leader in the liquid 'dishwash' category and is well known for its quality. Pril bar is our endeavour to provide the consumer with world-class products at affordable prices for utmost customer satisfaction."
Pril bar is the only product in the scouring bar segment, with a combination of lime plus vinegar. The brand claims that the double power of lime plus vinegar tears out tough grease and burnt marks, giving the utensils a sparkling shine. Launched in the month of October last year, Pril bar is endorsed by the celebrity chef, Sanjeev Kapoor,. The brand has gained a 6.5 market share within the first few months of launch.
The aim of the FMCG AwardTM is to recognise the most popular brand in each product category, as well as the efforts and contributions of individuals in the FMCG segment. The ceremony also aims at building FMCG AwardsTM as the prestigious award ceremony in the FMCG segment.
The survey to determine the winners in the 'popular' segment was conducted through intensive face-to-face interviews, newspaper releases and questionnaires on the internet. the winners were presented trophies and 'certificates of excellence' in the presence of eminent personalities.
Ernst & Young served as the official notary for FMCG Awards-2003, while popular market analysis group AC Nielson ORG-MARG was the official research partner. TNS mode assisted the organisers with the tabulation of results.
