Reva account assigned to Temple Advertising
28 Jan 2009
The creative mandate for electric car Reva has been assigned to Bangalore-based Temple Advertising.
The size of the business is approximately Rs4 crore. Rediffusion Y&R Bangalore used to handle the business at one point.
Reva, the small electric car, currently the only option for city commuting, was launched in in the middle of 2001.
It is an environment-friendly, fully automatic, and cost-effective electric car, which requires easy charging.
Srikanth VS, director, Temple Advertising, said, "This is a very interesting category to work on, which is poised to change peoples' attitude and their view towards this category. The move towards choosing an agency came with the simple idea that Reva needs to be seen. It's an ideal vehicle for city commuting, which needs to be communicated."
Advertising for Reva will be led by print, followed by digital. Though talks are still at a preliminary stage, it is unlikely that there would be a TVC, at least not immediately.
Some of the other clients handled by Temple Advertising include Kurlon, TVS, Vaakil, Deccan Chronicle, Wipro, and Satva, among others.
