Rolta implements unique infrastructure project management system for Qatar's Ashghal

Rolta, a provider of innovative information technology solutions, has teamed up with Qatar's public works authority, Ashghal, to implement a unique, geocentric system for infrastructure project management.
The system, called `Moazanah', will enable end-to-end management of government infrastructure projects in Qatar, thereby expediting project implementation and cutting costs, Rolta said in a release.
"The successful implementation reinforces Rolta's strong track record in providing domain expertise and sophisticated technology solutions to lead and manage innovative large projects," the release said.
The `Moazanah' project was envisaged by Ashghal's engineering business services department to develop a solution that was easy to use by over 23 agencies, involving hundreds of end-users needing to access numerous details associated with each of many diverse projects, said Rolta.
At the centre of the `Moazanah' system is Rolta OnPoint, the spatial engine of the Rolta Geospatial Fusion. This system also leverages Microsoft SharePoint and Esri's ArcGIS Server, Rolta said.
Moazanah makes possible better operational insights, allowing users easy access to data in an extremely user-friendly and cost-efficient manner. This would help share capital budgets between the regions in the country while allowing optimisation of expenditure.
