Samsung cuts prices of Galaxy S III and Phablet Galaxy Note II

In what would come as a piece of good news for Samsung fans, the company in India has cut the price of its flagship smartphone Galaxy S III and the famous Phablet Galaxy Note II.
Samsung Galaxy S III would now be available in official retail stores across the country for Rs28,990 at a discount of almost 34 per cent to the price it was launched, while the Galaxy Note II is discounted almost 13 per cent at Rs34,99.
Galaxy S III, a popular high-end phone in India comes with a 4.8 inch display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad Core processor with 1 GB RAM. It features functions like S beam, S voice, and buddy photo share that have been introduced for the first time. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, dual-core processor, and a strong 8 megapixel add to the phone's appeal.
After seven months of its launch, Samsung revealed sales of over 30 million units as it became the best-selling phone in the US.
Samsung Galaxy Note II, the successor was launched in India last September at Rs39,990. The device witnessed great success selling 3 million units in first five weeks of its launch.
Galaxy note II comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.9 megapixel front camera and like its predecessor Galaxy Note, the phablet comes with the S Pen stylus for taking notes on the device. The connectivity options on the device are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. The device comes with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display powered by a 1.6GHz Quad Core processor and 2 GB RAM. It features a powerful 3100 mAh battery and has 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GB using microSD card.
