Samsung unveils three new "Wave series" smartphones

Samsung Electronics has unveiled three new smartphones - Wave 3 with a 4-inch AMOLED screen and a 5 megapixel camera,  and cheaper versions of its popular Wave M and Wave Y models.

Samsung Electronics today said in a statement that the Wave range is powered by it's own operating system called "Bada 2.0 platform" and the three models add to 7 Wave series phones, since first Bada-based product went on sale in May 2010.

The new phones are provided with Samsung's integrated Social Hub and Music Hub, which allows the user to buy and download of tracks and albums over-the-air.

Samsung Wave 3 comes with a 4'' Super AMOLED screen, a 5 megapixel camera, a 1.4GHz processor and HSPA, connectivity packed into a 9.9mm brushed-metal case. The phone has a slim unibody design and is constructed of anodised aluminium.

Samsung Wave M has a 3.65'' HVGA screen made from tempered glass and a metallic body.

The new phones allows streamlined messaging feeds, enhanced on-the-go web browsing and Wi-Fi applications.
