Satyam and Microsoft tie up in greater China

Hyderabad: Satyam Computer Services, and Microsoft China, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop a multi-billion enterprise solutions market on the Microsoft platform in the Greater China region, leveraging products from Microsoft with solutions and services from Satyam.

The MoU agrees to establish a Satyam-Microsoft Adaptive Solution Centre in the Greater China region that will showcase Satyam's enterprise architecture, application integration, Microsoft dynamics solutions, business intelligence, infrastructure solutions and portals leveraging Microsoft products and tools.

A pool of skilled Satyam enterprise architects and business will man the centre or technology consultants who will focus on reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO) and will enhance return on investment (ROI).

Satyam and Microsoft both see the Greater China region as a booming enterprise market with an appetite for innovative, high value, rapid execution, low TCO business solutions, and therefore have committed to long-term joint investments to serve their shared customers.

The MoU targets manufacturing, telecom, automotive, banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, consumer goods, travel, logistics and retail market segments where business solution innovation, integration with global systems and agility are driving new age solutions for customers.

Ram Mynampati, president, Satyam, said, "China is emerging as the marketplace where MNCs are rapidly adapting enterprise solutions today to compete successfully and regional Chinese enterprises will mature soon to demand such innovations."

Tim Chen, corporate vice president for Microsoft and head of Microsoft's Greater China region said, "We believe the collaboration with Satyam will provide more value to customers with innovative, easy deployment and low TCO business solutions."

Satyam has also committed to bring its world renowned enterprise systems consulting and execution methodologies alongside Satyam's proven SEI CMM Level 5 and Satyam RightSourcing methodologies to benefit Greater China region customers for the two companies.
