Disgraced Satyam chairman, B Ramalinga Raju along with his brother B Ramalinga Ramu and chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas, who have been in judicial custody since 9 January, was today sent to police custody for four days from Sunday till 22 January, by the 6th additional chief metropolitan magistrate.
Raju will now be shifted from Chanchalguda Jail to CB-CID custody for further interrogations.
Raju's lawyer Bharat Kumar has said the defence would appeal against the police custody on Monday, once the order copy was issued.
The court also ruled that no bail application would be considered till 22 January. Yesterday, Raju's bail petition was heard in the Nampally court in Hyderabad.
On Monday, 19 January the magistrate will rule SEBI's petition to interrogate Raju and decide on a separate petition on Raju's behalf seeking bail and special status in jail.
The CID has already searched Raju's house and his office in Satyam and recovered at least 44 documents.
