The State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has entered into an alliance with the United India Insurance Company for marketing general insurance products.
According to AG Kalmankar, the general manager of SBH, "The bank would sell the insurance products through the network of 900 branches. By offering insurance solution that satisfies a customer''s intimate personal need with genuine care and attention, a sales staff at any insurance point would be conveying that the bank not only cares for his savings, but also about the financial security of his family. Thus, a satisfied bancassurance customer is an asset both for the bank and the insurance company."
The bank has trained a number of staff in life insurance, and plans to train the staff in general insurance this month.
