Shasun launches Shacryl-30 D; gets US company’s licence

A year ago, Shasun had launched another Eastman Chemical product, HPMCP (hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose phthalate), an enteric-coated excipient.
Both the products are used for enteric coating of tablets, pellets and granules to mask the unpleasant taste and odour of certain drugs, for insulating hygroscopic cores and for isolation of incompatible ingredients in a drug.
Finding the market picking up for the product, Shasun is expanding its production capacity.
