Spice launches D-111 handset with unique apps

B K Modi group firm Spice Mobiles on Monday today launched a Windows-enabled dual-SIM handset, 'Spice D-1111'. The handset is based on the Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and is equipped with a two-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and touch panel, Spice Mobiles said in a statement.
With an expandable memory of up to 2GB, the handset also has embedded value-added services like Nimbuzz, Reuters, Mitr and Opera Mini, it added.
The handset also has an enterprise application email2SMS service, which allows users to read their emails just like an SMS, without having to activate GPRS or download any software. Spice Mobiles is offering a month free subscription to the email2SMS service on the handset.
Tthe model is priced at Rs18,499. The sales pack includes a 512 MB memory card, screen guard and leather pouch, along with the free email2sms service.
