Sundaram Infotech bags ERP training deal from Microsoft

Mumbai: Sundaram Infotech Solutions Ltd (SIS), software development and
implementation arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, has bagged an Axapta ERP training
deal in Saudi Arabia from Microsoft.
Under the deal , SIS would provide
Axapta ERP training to 25 ERP consultants from 10 leading organisations in Saudi
Arabia over a period of three weeks, the company said in a release.
This
was the company''s first Axapta ERP training deal in Saudi Arabia, the release
added.
The training programme involves a detailed functional training
covering finance, supply chain and production modules, besides Installation and
configuration of dynamics AX.
"Our expansion into the Middle East and West Asia market is rolling out nicely, both on the software development and the ERP training front. This deal is a significant endorsement of our training capabilities in Axapta ERP as Microsoft themselves have chosen us to train their partners and customers in the Saudi Arabian market," J. Raghunathan, vice president-marketing, Sundaram Infotech said.
Sundaram Infotech, which is into development and implementation of software products, consulting and implementation of Microsoft business solutions - Axapta & Navision, and Data Warehousing & BI solutions, has added the ERP training offering to its portfolio over the last 6-9 months.
The company had launched an ERP training academy in Chennai in mid 2006. Since then, Sundaram Infotech has been able to take its ERP training capabilities to the overseas market, thus creating a new revenue stream for the company.
Sundaram Infotech had last week announced a partnership with Jordan''s Business Soft for marketing the Axapta ERP solutions in the Jordan market.
SIS, which focuses primarily on the financial services and manufacturing verticals, has a 50,000 sq. ft. software development facility in Chennai.
