Suri Venkat is Sify's new COO

Chennai: Sify Limited, the Chennai-based Internet company has appointed Suri Venkat as its chief operating officer (COO). He is an economics graduate from Delhi University and also has a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has earlier worked in ITC Limited and was also an entrepreneur.

According to Raju Vegesna, CEO and managing director, Venkat's mandate is to focus on people, processes and synergies between Sify's multiple businesses to unlock greater value. It may be noted the company has hit the profit path only recently after several years of existence.
