Symantec Corporation last week unveiled 'Norton Everywhere', a 3-part initiative to enhance security across mobile, DNS and smart devices.
As part of the initiative, Norton is launching its smart phone security for Android beta, Norton Connect beta and Norton DNS beta.
For smart phones users, Norton Smart Phone Security beta for Android mobile application will address device loss and data protection.
The users will be able to remotely lock or wipe their device via a text message in the event of device loss and set call blocks for unwanted callers. Also, they will benefit from Norton's anti-malware protection
Norton Connect beta, the free mobile application available at the iPhone app store, will allow users to access any files archived via Norton online backup or Norton 360 from their iPhone, iPad or Android devices.
Norton DNS beta will provide a safer, more reliable and faster internet experience by delivering a variety of services like anti-phishing, anti-malware and anti-spyware via Norton verified web filtering whereby every time a user navigates to a URL, it will be verified.
