Tata Indicom announces services bundling on Alcatel J636D+ smartphone

Tata Indicom, the CDMA brand of Tata Teleservices, on Monday announced bundling of services on Alcatel J636D+ smartphone.
"We are happy to announce the availability of Alcatel J636D+ to Tata Indicom subscribers in Delhi-NCR region...we are sure that this handset will appeal to consumers who want an economically priced CDMA smart phone option available to them," Tata Indicom hub head for Delhi Ajit Chaturvedi said in a statement.
Priced Rs8000, the dual-SIM Alcatel J636 D+ would be available exclusively in Delhi with Tata Indicom. The handset supports both CDMA and GSM networks and those opting for the bundled offer would get Rs 1,000 talk time along with 2 GB data, two months validity on pre-paid platform.
Upon choosing a post-paid plan, subscribers with monthly rental above or equal to Rs199 would be entitled to 1GB data every month for 6 months. Existing pre-pay subscribers would get Rs100 talk time for 10 months and 2GB data with 60 days validity if they opted for the bundled offer.
The handset, Alcatel J636D+, a dual sim, dual mode phone supporting both CDMA and GSM networks is available exclusively in Delhi with Tata Indicom, CIOL reported.
The handset comes with a 3MP camera, Android 4.3 OS, 1.2 GHZ dual core processor, 4GB memory expandable upto 32 GB through a Micro SD slot. The handset priced Rs8000, offers a mid-range option to CDMA subscribers.
Yang Yi, general manager, Alcatel - CDMA overseas said, he was very happy to see that the company's model, Alcatel one touch J636D+, was being introduced in the market with Tata Indicom.
He added, the handset had been equipped with Qualcomm's latest chipset MSM8610, which was a better solution with Dual core, low battery consumption and 1.2 Ghz processor to cater to the existing CDMA customers who wanted to upgrade their old models with a nice looking, big screen, price attractive and international branded smart phone.
He said Alcatel had ambitious plans to gain foothold in Indian CDMA handset market and was confident that consumers would accept and appreciate the offer with Tata Indicom.
