Tata Motors January sales at 65,478

Tata Motors' has reported total sales, including exports, of commercial and passenger vehicles in January 2010 at 65,478 vehicles, a growth of 77 per cent  over 36,931 vehicles sold in January 2009.

Cumulative sales and distribution of passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal was 200,573 (180,184 Tata + 20,389 Fiat), against 157,439 Tata cars and 4,986 Fiats, last year, a growth of 23 per cent.

Cumulative sales of the Nano stood at 21,535 and of the Indica range at 91,295, a growth of 6 per cent. Cumulative sales of the Indigo family were 41,724 higher by 3 per cent, coming into the positive territory for the first time this fiscal based on the growing acceptance of the newly launched Indigo Manza.

Cumulative sales of the Sumo / Safari range dropped 17 per cent to 25,630.

Its domestic sales of Tata commercial  in the month were 62,202, 74  per cent growth over 35,704 sold in January last year. 

Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal at 498,108 recorded a growth of 24 per cent over 400,284 sold last year.
