"Microsoft is working closely with industry partners to continue delivering on its commitment to provide customers with better connectivity," says Bill Baker, SQL Server business intelligence general manager, Microsoft Corp. "Our relationship with Teradata is an example of this commitment as it ensures that SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services will interoperate with Teradata to provide increased support and flexibility for our mutual customer."
As part of the agreement, Teradata, a global technology leader in enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications and data warehousing services, will provide its latest release of Teradata Warehouse 7.1 and supply consulting services to assist Microsoft in testing and optimisation. The companies will publish best practices for using the products together.
"With this agreement, our customers can leverage the strengths of these combined technologies to better manage their businesses, improve productivity and unlock their enterprise data to truly allow enterprise-driven decision making," said Amrish Rau, business manager, Teradata.
