UWB board asks RBI to review decision

Mumbai: The United Western Bank (UWB) board of directors has asked the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to reconsider its decision asking the bank's managing director, S T Gadre, to step down.

A bank press release said: The board has decided to request the RBI to reconsider its proposition. The board meeting was convened to consider the RBI directive and the future course of action for the bank.
