Vodafone India to provide Twitter free for 90 days

Vodafone India has entered into an agreement with Twitter to provide free services of the micro blogging and social networking site to its users. The service, which is to promote mobile internet usage, would be provided free on any mobile for three months.
Under this arrangement, Vodafone India customers will experience the 'Twitter for Android' app and mobile.twitter.com free of any mobile charges for three months.
Further, Twitter will promote the 'no mobile internet charges' experience on Vodafone.
Vodafone India has more than 95,000 followers on Twitter.
With an integrated customer experience module, Vodafone and Twitter say they will ensure seamless and transparent browsing experience by clearly prompting and informing the customer on the applicable charges, especially when they are accessing links via their Twitter timeline and elsewhere on Twitter's network.

As part of its strategy to democratise data, Vodafone India has been hand-holding customers to use mobile internet and educating current and potential users about how internet can add significant value to them. The company is also building content partnerships, simplifying pricing, educating retailers and offering choice to customer basis their interests and consumption patterns.
