Wipro Ltd, India's third-largest software services exporter after TCS and Infosys, is negotiating for the software and technological support contract from Boeing's maintenance and repairs organisation (MRO) facility coming up in the outskirts of Nagpur.

Boeing is investing $100 million in this maintenance repair facility, which it had announced on being awarded the Air India contract for 68 aircraft.

According to media reports, Wipro will provide software tools and technological support for various aircraft checks and maintenance programmes at the Boeing facility.

Usually between one-fifth and a quarter of any MRO investment goes towards IT services.
