Yahoo! to launch global brand campaign in India

Yahoo! is asserting its place at the centre of people's online lives by announcing that it has realigned all aspects of its business around simplifying and enhancing the Web experience for people throughout the world.
To underscore this commitment, Yahoo! is launching a global brand campaign in India on on 5 October to commemorate its connection with people and communicate core product enhancements.
"Today the Web and your world are inseparable," said Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz.
"Hundreds of millions of people use Yahoo! to get the information they need, connect with friends and family, and be entertained. We are about creating online experiences people find meaningful, relevant, and fun."
The brand campaign will launch on 28 September in the United States and 5 October in the United Kingdom and India, and extend into 2010. It will reach major and emerging markets worldwide, including Brazil, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, and Taiwan.
"Our vision is to be at the centre of people's online lives--to be at the place where their world meets the larger world," said Elisa Steele, Yahoo! executive vice president and chief marketing officer, speaking at the IAB MIXX Conference and Expo in New York City.
