Yahoo will unveil its long-awaited, revamped website home page tomorrow to its 100 million users in the US and then later this week to those in the UK, India and France, with the roll out for the rest of the world scheduled for next year.

By overhauling its website homepage, the Sunnyvale-based company aims to bring back its users who had migrated to rival Google and fun and social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace among others.

This will be the biggest overhaul of the Yahoo website since its launch in 1994 and the first time that the company has made changes to its homepage since 2006.

Yahoo CEO, Carol BartzThe search engine's newly-appointed CEO, Carol Bartz, who replaced co-founder Jerry Yang in January, is desperate to turn the company around and aims to attract more users and premium advertisers with the new designed homepage, which is an entry point to all users, viewers and investors.

Taking nearly a year to develop and several rounds of testing, Yahoo aims to make the new redesigned website, much easier for users to access their favourite content, including social-networking services, news and shopping.

The biggest change in the Yahoo website is on the left side of the window of the page dealing with My Favorites. Users will be able to customise links to Yahoo's and other services, from news to social networks.
