Mumbai: Zenith Computers, a leader in the Indian PC market, has launched the 'Topper Desktop'. The product has been jointly created with Intel, the world's largest chip manufacturer. The Topper has been created for students in India across all levels and boards, from school to college, with a price tag of Rs 23,000.
The Topper is a multimedia PC with a CD-writer, modem, speakers, free Internet and a Topper 18-CD pack. The CDs include Career Launcher software (a subsidiary of Intel) and a host of other software like Vedic Mathematics, Learn to Speak English, programming languages, the Webster encyclopaedia, chess and Hutchinson Library.
“There is a reverse situation in this industry, where young people are much more IT- savvy than their parents and thus need a higher-end product that is feature-packed. We have created a PC for education keeping this in mind. The student can find answers to his questions on physics or chemistry, get career counselling and also relax with a game of Junior Crorepati. The focus is to make your child an all-rounder and thus be a topper in life,“ says Devita Saraf, executive director, marketing, Zenith Computers.
Zenith will also gift the ''toppers of major certified Indian exams'' a Zenith Topper. Adds Saraf, “In other countries, highest-scoring students get scholarships, awards and higher recognition. By recognising a topper's effort in India, we are doing our bit by empowering him or her with a Topper PC as a reward.“
Zenith Topper is available with over 700 dealers and 125 exclusive retail 'Zenith PC World' stores at convenient locations all over the country.
