Jio effect: Idea offers unlimited calls and 1GB data per day at Rs398 for 56 days

Idea Cellular has come out with a new discounted plan for its prepaid users under which subscribers will get unlimited voice calling and 1 GB 3G/4G data per day, but without the SMS facility at Rs398 available for up to 70 days in select circles.
Customers will get unlimited local and STD voice calls, including incoming and outgoing roaming calls and 1GB 3G/4G data per day.
While the Idea plan is available in all its circles, the pricing and the validity of the plan differs in some circles.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, the pack is offering a validity of 56 days only, while in some other circles, it is offering 70 days of validity. Also, the price of the plan may differ with each circle.
Recently, Idea also rolled our Rs357 plan which offers 1GB data per day valid for 28 days. Additionally, users will get unlimited local and STD voice calls along with free roaming and 100 SMSes with the pack.
The plan, however, falls short of Jio's Rs399 plan, which offers 1GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, free roaming with a validity of 70 days.
A similar plan by Airtel offers similar benefits for 70 days at Rs448.
Vodafone also has a pack that comes with a price tag of Rs399 and offers 90GB of 4G data. The plan comes with 6 months of validity and it also offers unlimited local and STD calls. However, in some circles, the company is offering 84GB of data with a validity of 84 days, which means users will get 1GB data per day.
Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have been constantly pushing down rates to gain new customers for their services while other telecom companies to have managed to come up with value-added tariff plans.
