IL&FS Engineering Services wins Rs327-cr Bangalore Metro Rail contract

IL&FS Engineering Services, the contracting wing of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited, has bagged a metro rail contract from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, for a value of Rs326.99 crore.
The contract involves construction of elevated structures (viaduct) of approximately 3.945 km from Mysore Road Station to Pattanagere Station, including four elevated metro stations at Nayandahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Jnanabharathi and Pattanagere in the west extension of the east-west corridor of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-2.
The project is to be completed in 27 months from the date of issue of letter of acceptance (LoA), an IL&FS release said.
IL&FS Engineering Services is in the process of executing metro rail projects, including two contracts for RMRG (Phase II) - one involving construction of double track elevated viaduct worth Rs255.84 crore, and the other involving construction of five elevated stations in Gurgaon (South Extension) worth Rs84.30 crore.
Earlier, IL&FS Engineering Services had successfully executed RMRG (Phase I) contract worth Rs259.30 crore that involved construction of single and double track elevated viaduct, including six station buildings.
