iPhone 4 hits Indian shores

Apple's next-generation smartphone, iPhone 4 has finally arrived in India.
Debuting 11 months after it was launched in the US, iPhone 4 will be available with telecom operators Aircel and Airtel today onwards.
The handset will be priced at Rs34,500 (16 GB capacity) and Rs40,900 (32 GB capacity), and customers will have the opportunity to recover 100 per cent of their upfront iPhone cost in monthly credits on their service plan over a period of 24 months.
iPhone 4 is powered by Apple's A4 operating system, boasts of a retina display, FaceTime for video chat, 5 MP rear facing camera with LED flash and HD video recording.
It also provides access to more than 350,000 apps on the Apple App Store.
P D Sharma, Airtel CEO (West Bengal and Orissa), said iPhone 4 will stand out for its original applications and cater to the middle segment as well because of its attractive pricing.
